Furthermore, across the follow-up period an overall trend was observed, in which successively greater increases in mean SGRQ and UCSD-SOBQ scores and successively greater reductions in EQ-5D VAS and WHO-5 scores were reported by patients hospitalised on 1, 2, 3 and ≥ 4 separate occasions (Online data supplement; Additional file 3 : Figure S1).
