In the data analysis for NSSI ≥ 1 and NSSI ≥ 5, gender differences in ACEs score or social support on NSSI (Supplementary Tables 3 and 4) were similar to those found with NSSI ≥ 3 ( Table 3 ), whereas the NSSI ≥ 5 data showed a borderline significance for the lowest social support having a stronger effect in girls than in boys.
