Among all variables examined in this study, WC displayed the strongest association with hypertriglyceridemia among women in the crude analysis (odds ratio (OR) = 2.075 [confidence interval = 1.797–2.397]), and the association remained highly significant after adjusting for age and BMI (adjusted OR = 1.615 [1.202–2.171]).
