However, a subset of 328 loci, which lost Pho binding and were defined before as regions experiencing histone changes towards activation ( Figure 4D ), showed a highly significant loss of H3K27me3 marks (as well as a gain of H3K27ac marks) ( Figure 7F ), demonstrating that a substantial number of Ubx/Pho sites required Ubx for stabilizing Pho binding and H3K27me3 marks.
