Host taxonomic group and health status were not significant drivers within-site, and the only significant factor was site itself, which was highly significant for both the abundance data ( F 13,98 = 2.93, p < 0.001) and the presence/absence data ( F 13,98 = 2.92, p < 0.001); Fig. 1A plots the site data onto the first two axes of the NMDS for the abundance data, highlighting in colour sites 1, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 which have markedly different ordinations compared with the rest of the sites.
