Combining the supplementation of IL-2 and N G MMA increased the proliferation of mitogen-treated T cells from both infected genotypes even further, without however reaching the level of the naïve proliferation response (WT: from 9.7 to 59.5%; IDO −/− : from 7.6 to 61.8%) ( Figure 4A ), thus resulting in a highly significant elevation of the proliferative response compared to mitogen stimulation alone.
