However, in cross‐species comparisons, we find a highly significant overlap of the MG orthologs with other glial datasets from zebrafish, mice, the fly retina, while the control (mixed retinal population) tissue overlap has no significant difference in the overlap between MG and the whole CNS (Figure 4 a; Roesch et al., 2008 ; Qin et al., 2009 ; Nelson et al., 2011 ; Macosko et al., 2015 ; Sifuentes et al., 2016 ; Charlton‐Perkins, Sendler, Buschbeck, & Cook, 2017 ).
