However, for more subtle, involved, and lengthy investigations such as charge-density analysis, phase-transition monitoring, gas adsorption and photocrystallography, the decay effects will be highly significant, and are likely to impact the quality of the results and we encourage the community to investigate the propensity for radiation-induced crystal decay in these areas.
