Statistical analysis Sample size calculation was based on previous studies who found statistically highly significant decreases in pPWV acutely after exercise in 12 and 25 healthy volunteers.[ 5 , 6 ] According to their results, 6 subjects are needed to find a decrease in pPWV at a one-sided alpha of 0.05 and a power of 80%.
