Not surprisingly, there was a statistical trend toward higher frequencies of CD34 + cells in TF patients compared to CR patients in diagnostic BM specimens (48.9%, range: 7.9–76.6% versus 9.9%, range: 4.5–89.7%; p = 0.07), although there was a high degree of inter-patient variability.
