In spite of these indisputable progresses, TC still presents multi-leveled challenges that should not allow our guard to be lowered: - Epidemiological evidence: the annual incidence of TC has doubled over the past 40 years with an increasing trend over time, particularly in Caucasian males ( 4 ).
