Pairwise comparisons between plant species revealed a clear shift in the taxonomic composition with species replacement being highly significant between all plant species and even phylogenetically related plant species (i.e. the confamilial E . azorica and V . cylindraceum ) showed very distinct herbivore assemblages ( Fig 2 , S7 Table ).
