MGR Medical University guideline prescribes 4 months of clinical rotation in child psychiatry and also permits students to be posted to higher institutes for specialty training.[ 5 ] There is an increasing trend to include one child psychiatry case as part of the short case presentation during examinations even though it is not a mandatory requirement.
