In fact, we also noted that patients with CKD stage 3 had a better RHI compared to those with CKD stage 1–2, and there was also a nonsignificant trend toward increased RHI with declined renal function in our study, which is possibly due to the increased BP in more advanced CKD patients, as our subsequent analysis revealed that RHI was independently and positively associated with systolic BP.
