Regarding tyrosine, results are conflicting: in the Rotterdam study [ 12 ], a cross-sectional analysis revealed that a high dietary intake of tyrosine was related to lower systolic blood pressure (though results were statistically just marginally significant when considering quartiles of tyrosine intake, but they become statistically significant when considering tyrosine intake as a continuous variable), but no relationship emerged between dietary tyrosine and diastolic blood pressure.
