A highly significant admixture rate between domestic cats and European wildcats was corroborated by the T hree POP results for the F3 tests 53 computed in all the putative admixed individuals detected with Admixture (z-score = −113.04) and confirmed by analyzing the five European wildcat macro-areas separately (z-scores ranging from −8.22 of the Central Germany to −35.70 of the Central Europe, from −113.11 and −49.19 of the Iberian and Italian Peninsulas to −91.78 of the Dinaric macro-area).
