This result concurred with the finding from the Malaysian National Health Morbidity Survey of 2015, which showed an increasing trend in the prevalence of undiagnosed DM with advancing age. 23 The survey reported the prevalence of undiagnosed DM in the general population at 5.5% in the 18–19 years old age group and peaked at 13.6% among people aged 60–64-years-old.
