A single inhalation of vapor from dried toad secretion containing 5-methoxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine (5-MeO-DMT) in a naturalistic setting is related to sustained enhancement of satisfaction with life, mindfulness-related capacities, and a decrement of psychopathological symptoms.

Separate contrast revealed that subjective ratings of depression, anxiety, and stress decreased within 24 h following the inhalation of the vapor from dried toad secretion containing 5-MeO-DMT, but failed to reach significance until 4 weeks later ( p = 0.015, Hedges’ g = 0.79; p < 0.001, Hedges’ g = 0.69; p = 0.003, Hedges’ g = 0.66, respectively).
