Scores in UPDRS parts I (evaluation of mentation, behaviour and mood), II (self-reporting of activities of daily living) and IV (complications of therapy) also saw highly significant improvements following DBS surgery of 26 ± 14%, 24 ± 11% and 41 ± 16%, respectively (summarised in Table 1 ).
