Despite a considerable variability, they showed an increasing trend of plasma p-NfH over time, which was inversely correlated with survival length: patients with rapidly progressive disease and shorter survival present higher p-NfH levels early, followed by a fall later in the disease, while lower levels have been observed in slower progressors.
