Yet, one study aiming at progressive or recurrent DTC patients drew a different conclusion that Tg-DT alone was not an independent survival predictor, but instead, that the highly significant difference in survival rates was revealed in patients with high tumor loads (Tg>100 ng/mL). 49 The discrepancies between these studies might result from the different patient constitution and cohort comparison.
