In 24 children in whom islet autoantibodies were first detected or increased in concentration, RV IgG or IgA antibodies were temporally associated with autoantibodies to IA-2, insulin, and GAD65 in 86%, 62%, and 50% of cases, respectively, confirmed by random permutation analysis to be highly significant.
