As an overall trend, the up-regulated proteins were involved in metabolic pathways and steroidogenesis while down-regulated proteins seemed to be involved in the regulation of CL function and oocyte maturation/arrest through the extracellular matrix and focal adhesion proteins in post-pubertal heifers at the luteal phase compared to pre-pubertal heifers ( Table 3 ).
