A highly significant increase in the proportion of cells expressing insulin, glucagon, and somatostatin was observed when cells were encapsulated at the later stages of differentiation (S7 bead[S5-S7] ) as compared to the ones grown on Matrigel-coated plates (S7 bead[S7] ).
