Therefore, although the SM mean for VIM common sequence (5.48 ± 5.58) was four times higher than that of NORM group (1.31 ± 0.86), due to the high intra-group standard deviations, no significant ( P > 0.05) differences were found and only a trend toward significance between NORM (1.31 ± 0.86) and WB groups (4.37 ± 3.36; P = 0.08; Figure 4B ) was observed.
