highly significantP < 0.0001
For both pathogens, we found a highly significant effect of the heat treatment (F = 72.4, P < 0.0001 and F = 25.2, P < 0.0001 for P . ramorum and G . clavigera , respectively) and an interaction between treatment and time point at which the gDNA and mRNA samples were collected (F = 4.2, P < 0.001 for P . ramorum and F = 2.7, P < 0.01 for G . clavigera ).
