The coupling of C(sp 3 )–Br and C(sp 3 )–I sites in the presence of a C(sp 3 )–Cl bond and selective one C(sp 3 )–Cl coupling (in the case of 1,6-dichlorohexane) are highly significant, as the resulting products can be used for further functionalization.
