Worth noting, the experiments in mice last a few weeks only, while humans are analyzed several weeks following the tumor onset, and indeed the phenomenon in humans is one order of magnitude bigger (about 20% of fibers with central nuclei in cachectic patients) and, therefore, definitely significant from a pathophysiological point of view.
