Our focus on the intersections between labour and the commodification and financialisation of nature is highly significant for those with an interest in critical labour geographies in the contemporary era of precarious work, not just in the post‐industrial north, but globally (Munck 2013 ; Siegmann and Schiphorst 2016 ).
