The impacts of this interaction may be significant in terms of area required to deliver service; e.g., in the Hiraethlyn test catchment, it was possible to achieve a mitigated area of around 15% by having 50% of the area as woodland when distributed across seven patches, but the same amount of mitigated area could be achieved with only 25% of woodland distributed across 12 patches.
