This current study anticipates that, the more reason why occupational accidents and work-related injuries continue to grow in developing countries (e.g., Ghana) cannot only be attributed to the lack of effective implementation of safety management systems but also, the lack of safety knowledge or low safety knowledge among workers; hence, a study of such nature in a risky industry like the oil and gas sector in Ghana is expected to be highly significant to managers, safety practitioners, and policy makers.
