Moreover, the proportions of those for whom the HCV RNA level exceeded 600,000 IU/mL showed a significant difference among the three groups of patients (chronic hepatitis, 50.3%; liver cirrhosis, 45.1%; and HCC, 38.9%), suggesting a decreasing trend of the HCV RNA level according to disease progression ( Supplementary Table 1 ).
