parvum (type of flooring, frequency of cleaning and disinfection of floors) were analysed it was found that although the type of floor did not have a significant impact, there was an increasing trend in the statistical significance and the risk of parasitization was greater in calves housed in pens with straw/earth flooring than in those housed in pens with cement flooring (OR: 1.6; CI 95%: 0.9–2.6).
