In terms of the pets’ pruritus over the six weeks, and comparing the animals receiving the treatment as directed with those not receiving, there were significant differences between the two groups in the reported pruritus at the third week of treatment (t = 2.07, p = 0.04), being almost significant by the sixth week ( p = 0.06), i.e., dogs receiving treatment as prescribed improved sooner than those not receiving as directed.
