Sport events are extremely significant not just for their immediate tourism component and attract media attention but also because they may have long lasting benefits and costs based on tourism/commercial, physical, economic, socio-cultural, psychological and political impacts on the host community and country ( Deccio and Baloglu, 2002 ; Hall, 1992 ; Kang and Perdue, 1994 ; Ritchie, 1984 ).
