Baseline ADMA concentration, which was measured in a blood sample taken at sea level before the first exposure to high altitude, was a highly significant predictor for the development of HAPH, with an optimal cut-off level of 0.665 μmol/l (sensitivity, 100%, specificity, 63.6%).
