marginally significantP = .05
The longitudinal profiles of secondary outcomes including HOMA-IR, QUICKI, and revised QUICKI at weeks 12, 24, and 48 for arm D compared with the control arm did not show any significant difference in HOMA-IR; however, the treatment effect of arm D compared with arm A for the longitudinal revised QUICKI was marginally significant (0.004; 95% CI, 0.000–0.008; P = .05), suggesting that telmisartan (80 mg) led to a small reduction in insulin resistance over a period of 48 weeks (see Supplementary data for all summary statistics).
