Numerous highly significant interactions were inferred between mo-Macs and aggressive/metastatic tumor cells involving the activation of TNF, TGF-β, and EGFR signaling pathways in tumor cells; these interactions may induce ERK-MAPK signaling, invasive mesenchymal phenotypes, and tumor growth.
