In our results, three SNPs were detected; two SNPs showed an increasing litter size trend but failed to reach significance ( p > 0.05), whereas the wildtype homozygous genotype of g.60495363G > A (GG) was associated with significantly greater litter size in Small Tail Han sheep compared with GA and AA genotypes; therefore, this mutation seems to be harmful.
