Finally, it has to be considered that ISAC is an immunoassay and that the result can be conditioned not only by the entity of the immune-response, but also by the homology of the sequence, by the amount of allergen in the assay, by the folding of the recombinant protein and the availability of epitopes, and the correlation between component homology and percentage of positive results is not very highly significant.
