There was a trend towards an association between greater CSA of psoas major (regression coefficient 3.6, 95% CI − 0.5 to 7.7, p = 0.08) and flexors total (psoas major and rectus femoris; regression coefficient 2.3, 95% CI − 0.3 to 5.0, p = 0.08) and better hip-related quality of life, achieving borderline significance.
