In contrast, diabetes was of borderline significance in predicting severe disease (pOR 3.12, 95% CI 1.0–9.75), but not ICU admission (pOR 2.72, 95% CI 0.70–10.6), although the Tau-squared value for the latter was unusually high implying a high level of heterogeneity.
