However, the average hard coral mean effect size of ARC for the Northern, Center, and Southern regions were all positive thus supporting the mean effect size for ARC for the overall MC towards a positive trend (2005-2016; Fig. 5A ).
The Center and South regions experienced the greatest rates of hard coral cover decline and highly significant increases of macroalgae cover between 1978 and 2004.
