For rural residents, the ASMRs of traffic injury, suicide, and drowning showed a decreasing trend in eastern (APC = − 6.0, − 6.8%, and − 5.9%, respectively), central (APC = − 6.8, − 9.7%, and 6.1%, respectively), and western regions (APC = − 5.4, − 3.0%, and − 6.4%, respectively).
