When adjustments were made for confounding differences, females had a statistically significant greater improvement in the their WOMAC function ( p = 0.03) and total ( p = 0.03) scores compared to males, but these improvements were not clinically significant (Table 3 ). A higher rate of overall satisfaction was observed in male patients, with a trend towards significance ( p = 0.054) for female patients to be less likely to be satisfied (Table 4 ).
