After balancing age, sex, diabetes, and hypertension between cases and controls through propensity score matching analysis, per 0.2 pg/mL increment in serum FT3 was significantly associated with 35–38% reduced risk of CKD at stages 1–4, and the reduction in association with CKD stage 5, albeit marginally significant, was only 2%.
