The pattern derived from niche similarity and equivalence tests revealed that each Alytes species occupies a non-identical environmental niche since no significant p values were found for the hypothesis of complete niche overlap (equivalence test), but instead, highly significant distinctions occurred for the divergence hypothesis (equivalence test) for any pair-species comparisons with the exception of the A. obstetricans versus A. maurus contrast.
