The splitting of bats into two additional clusters (2 and 3; Euclidean distance 0.279) was not driven by species specificity but mainly by parameters related to white blood cell count (WBC) and phagocyte respiratory burst (Table 2 ). All predictive regression models were statistically highly significant and, with the exception of variables T end and Adjusted Integral (AI) that had lower coefficients of determination, there was a good fit with the data (Table 3 ).
