Based on a simple linear mixed model, a highly significant ( p < 0.001) relationship between GFR (=Cl IOH ) and BW was demonstrated, expressed by the equation: (1) GFR (mL/min) = 4.11 + 1.59 × BW (kg) (R 2 = 0.90) The GFR and BW were highly correlated, therefore it was decided to further analyze the impact of sex and species on the GFR/BW using mixed effects models.
