Given these significant findings from this subset of studies, and the fact that the effect becomes non-significant (albeit almost significant in the PPP analysis) as more studies become included, this suggests that perhaps either the variability added by the inclusion of more studies reduces any potential “real” effect of the music intervention, or that the musical intervention does not in fact exert a true effect.
